Dr. Jesse Ritter
"I found myself comparing Jesse to a watchmaker. Someone who understands the complexity of how the barrel, spring, balance wheel and glass must fit together to establish the perfect movement, function and ultimately aesthetic.” - Dr. Saleha Mahmud-Ritter
Perfection. It can be a blessing and a curse. A facade that one can rarely attain. For perfection, when it comes to beauty and artistry, is purely subjective. But, that will never stop me from pouring my soul into my craft. I would rather be perfectly imperfect, than stagnant and stale. Life is too short for lost opportunities and feats you could have conquered.
My childhood home was in Selinsgrove, PA. Now Baltimore is my home. In both places I have appreciated the power of man and nature. What was even more astounding was how it all blended together so intricately. From the design of the “horseless carriage” to the way steel and fire have combined to build the foundations of our greatest cities. The powerful alliance of man and nature should never be underestimated.
One of my favorite quotes is from the movie “Gladiator”: “What we do in life echoes in eternity.” So why then have I chosen dentistry as my vocation? Speaking as an architect, I relish the application of engineering and artistry. It is no mistake that I settled in the remarkable city of Baltimore. Baltimore is no longer a city that continues towards a path of destruction, decay and neglect. There is work continually being done to repurpose the old and bring it in to a new light. Still original, yet revised to a better version - a Version 3.0. This absolutely applies to how I feel about my clients and their dental health. My passion is to use my skill and knowledge to restore my clients health, smile and most importantly, their lives.
The history of mankind starts with the individual. I am not working with steel, wood, concrete or glass. I am working with humanity. Each and every one of you has a story. You have stories of happiness, sadness, anger, pain, all of it. I do not see you as teeth in a head. You are all much more than that. And if you so desire a path towards another version of yourself, I am here to serve you.
It is because of you that I am here.
